1.1 Project Background                  
1.1.1 P roduct Introduction
The raw material of this project product is bentonite . Liufangzi of Gongzhuling City is one of three place in China that has the best bentonite ore resources. Liufangzi brand bentonite of the company is very suitable to produce high quality MMT/rubber nano-composite air-tight master batch, providing high quality raw material for this project. This project proposes to dissociate clay into nano-crystal layer in water, perform nano-mixing with nano-rubber latex in water, utilize rapid condensation and dehydration technology to fix this nano-mixing structure, and produce clay/rubber nano-composite materials. Use the blocking effect of nano-clay lamella to increase the air tightness of styrene butadiene rubber, realize gas protection of styrene butadiene rubber, and replace butyl rubber and use in tyre air-tight layer. Now brominated butyl rubber in the market has risen to about 35,000 yuan/t, and the cost of styrene butadiene rubber composite air-tight master batch in this project is less than 15,000 yuan, and this product will make tyres factories get simple process, easy operation, good fitting with external tyre, low heat dissipation, and better wear resistance than butyl rubber. This project has been listed in the National 863 Program . 50t air-tight rubber has been put into market, in which 30t has been used by Aeolus Tyre Co., Ltd., Jiaozuo City, Henan; 20t was used by Shandong Linglong Tyre Co., Ltd., having good response.
1.1.2 Market Prospects
With Chinese economy developing rapidly, the output of China's tyre industry in 2015 reached 776 million, including tyre air-tight layer halogenated butyl rubber consumption about 200,000t, and all of rubber was imported. From 2014 to 2015, annual growth rate of import volume was nearly 30%. Due to constant increase of the international petroleum market price, the price of brominated butyl rubber in 2015 has risen to about 39,000 yuan/t, greatly exceeding the price of ordinary rubber . Therefore, many enterprises are seeking its substitute. The production of this project has opened up an important path for providing brominated butyl brominated butyl substitute with low cost and high quality. The project construction conforms to the national and local policy requirements for revitalizing northeast old industrial base.
1.1.3 Technical Analysis
The company cooperates with Beijing University of Chemical Technology that will provide technical support. This technology is still at blank stage in domestic industry. In order to demonstrate the feasibility of laboratory production technology and provide basic parameters for industrialized mass production device design, the company has designed one 1 . 5 million tons/year air-tight master batch production line. The optimized pilot plant test product is prepared by mixing 100 styrene butadiene rubber with 80 portions of clay. By observing transmission electron micrograph of clay/styrene butadiene rubber nano-composite air-tight master batch, clay lamella can been seen to form good dispersion with small thickness in a mist dispersing shape; lamella has certain connection, enlarging the size of aggregate. According to the observed clay phase domain, clay's interface phase thickness ratio increases compared with single dispersed structure, enhancing clay's blocking performance.
1.1.4 A dvantageous Conditions and Necessity of Project Construction
(1) Policy conditions
The project construction conforms to the national policies of energy conservation and emission reduction, sustainable development. This project production adopts natural gas fuel tail gas for heating, uses steam compression recycling waste heat device to recycle and utilizes high temperature tail gas, causing no environmental pollution, saving energy over 25%, and avoid large quantity of waste water pollution arising from the traditional rubber emulsion condensation washing. Utilize liquid phase mixing to replace mixing in internal mixer and mix in large quantity of filler and save mixing energy consumption.
(2) Location advantage
Jilin Gongzhuling Economic Development Zone has apparent location advantage, Beijing-Harbin Railway, Harbin-Daqing High-speed Railway, Beijing-Harbin Expressway and 102 National Highway traverse the zone, facing Changchun City with only a river in between, 15km from FAW Factory, 16km from South Train Station of Changchun City, and 45km from Changchun Longjia Airport 45km.

Center of Advanced Elastomer Materials, Beijing University of Chemical Technology uses turnkey method provide the transferee with 10,000t emulsion process clay/rubber nano-composite air-tight master batch industrialized production line, and one-year support for later-period application development and technology to ensure the transferee to produce qualified products, depend on relevant authorize patents (1) clay/rubber nano-composite materials preparation method, Chinese invention patent, ZL98101496.8; (2) rubber and clay nano-composite materials preparation with pre-bentonite organic clay, Chinese invention patent, ZL200410008452.0; (3) modified clay and rubber composite materials preparation method, Chinese invention patent, ZL200410084046.2; (4) organic modified clay and styrene butadiene rubber nano-composite materials preparation method, Chinese invention patent, ZL200510084326.8. Clay/styrene butadiene rubber composite air-tight master batch obtained the support of National 863 Program in tyre application project. Nano-composite materials preparation with emulsion composite obtained First Award of Technical Progress of China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Association in 2009.

Styrene butadiene rubber composite air-tight master batch raw material in this project is bentonite, and Liufangzi of Gongzhuling City has this rare natural mineral. As one of the nationwide three places, it has bentonite ore resources with the best quality. This project has many advantages in application of raw materials . This project proposes to be built in coal mine of Liufangzi, easily getting the materials and greatly reducing the project cost; it is close to bentonite mine area and special railway line, having superior geological position.

This technology is not available in China. As a natural mineral resource, bentonite as natural mineral resources, it provides reliable raw material. 2.2 Introduction to Project Undertaker
Jilin Liufangzi Bentonite Technology Co., Ltd. has experienced 28 years of development, which has rare natural sodium bentonite mineral resources in the nature. Natural sodium bentonite mineral resource of the company formed 140 million years ago, and embedded at underground 200-250m, with reserves 22 million tons and annual exploration quantity over 100,000t. The company is the only professional natural sodium bentonite production base in China, and president unit of Bentonite Professional Committee of China Non-Metallic Materials Industry Association.
The company depends on abundant, excellent natural sodium bentonite resources to produce and process various bentonite products for Chinese FAW Group Company, Anshan Iron and Steel Group Company, Jilin Oilfield and other domestic famous enterprises, and sell to Japan, South Korea and Southeast Asia.
