1. 1 Project Background
1.1.1 P roduct Introduction
Cold gas dynamic spraying technology ( CGDS : cold spraying for short ) is an emerging new surface engineering technology developed in recent years . Institute of Metal Research, CAS has cooperated with Russia Institute of Theoretical and Applied Mechanics since 2000 to jointly develop the research of preparing new coating with cold spraying technology , and introduce cold gas dynamic spraying equipment. Coating preparation production line is established by purchasing equipment . It has successfully sprayed Zn , Cu , Ni , Al , Ag , Ti , Ti-Ni as well as the alloy co a ting on the surfaces of PTC , glass , aluminium and steel . P reparation of PTC ceramic Al electrode with CGDS has applied patent for invention.
1.1.2 Market Prospects
CGDS is an important process for preparing high-performance, non-oxidation coating , nano-structure coating as well as metal material surface nanocrystallization, which is featured by low spraying temperature, small influence on the material texture, small thermal influence on matrix , application for preparation of organic coating (the prepared metal coating is basically free of oxidation), high spraying efficiency , recyclable spraying powder , high material utilization rate ; compact prepar ed coating with low porosity ; application for preparation of coating ( e.g. Cu , Al) with high thermal conductivity and high electric conductivity ; forming coating on surface of matrix including metal , ceramics or glass ; and low coating interlaminar stress , main ly compressive stress. Therefore, it can be used for preparation of thick coating, and can realize preparation of composite coating or alloy coating with dissimilar material s . All developed countries are making their efforts to research this unique spraying method this is used for various coating preparation and different from thermal spraying, and have achieved huge progress . Many American companies use CGDS for preparation of wear-resisting, corrosion-resisting coating , and they also plan to use CGDS to produce new tensile coating for automobiles and planes , connect dissimilar metal in gradient coating, and manufacture small-size coating composite parts a s well as low temperature coating .
At present, CGDS research is still in laboratory stage in China. The world's developed countries including Russia and America as well as European Community have applied this technology in industry. Therefore, it is of great significance to develop this technology. In summary, CGDS is extremely important for expanding thermal spraying field , opening up a new path for application of surface engineering technology . It has important value in coating preparation technology and metal material surface nanocrystallization, and plays a tremendous role in composite technology for preparing materials with complicated structure.

1.1.3 Technical Analysis
This project adopts proprietary technology of Institute of Metal Research, CAS, and the technology can be obtained by purchasing or technical cooperation.
1.1.4 A dvantageous Conditions of Project Construction
( 1 ) Policy condition

(2) Location advantage.
Meihekou City is the key passage connecting Changbai Mountain area to Songliao Plain and entering Bohai Economic Rim, known as “Portal of Changbai Mountain”, embracing over 10 large and middle-sized cities of Liaoning Province and Jilin Province within radius 200km, having population of nearly 3 million in the peripheral 50km, and population of 5 million within 100km. Meihekou City is the important railway and highway traffic hub in northeast region, one of seven traffic node cities of Jilin Province, and junction point of Shenyang-Jilin Railway and Siping-Meihekou Railway; national roads Line 202 and Line 303 pass through the entire boader. The city has established the largest nut market in Asia, domestic famous rise market, the second largest building materials market in Jilin Province, as well as over 50 influencing special wholesale and retail markets of agricultural machinery, agricultural trade, snack foods and hardwares in the periphery, radiating radius is 7 surrounding prefecture-level cities, over 10 counties (cities), and radiating area is more than 40,000km2. The area contains a population of nearly 8 million, realizing annual total commodity retail 6.6 billion yuan .
( 3 ) Obvious industrial advantage.
Meihekou City has good industrial foundation and complete categories, which has basically formed energy, medicine and food pillar industries as well as advantageous industries of mechanical metallurgy and chemical building materials, having 140 industrial enterprises above designated size. Building materials and chemical industries have tremendous development potential. 200,000t/year Fukang compound fertilizer project and 100,000t/year Fuxia organic compound fertilizer project have been listed in 10 billion kg grain production increase project of Jilin Province.
