Jilin Rice Opens a "Cloud Speed"

Learned from Jilin Province Grain Bureau and Alibaba strategic cooperation press conference & Jilin rice official flagship store launch ceremony held in Changchun on November 30, under the agreement, Jilin rice will open an official flagship store in Taobao and Tmall as well as some rural Taobao producing area warehouses in the province in order to broaden the uplink channel of Jilin rice as a brand agricultural product. This cooperation marks the province's high-end agricultural brand represented by Jilin rice has made significant progresses in building e-commerce channels and also provided a strong support for further promoting Jilin's high-quality rice industry.


According to the strategic cooperation agreement signed by the two parties, Alibaba’s Tmall, Juhuasuan, Maochao and other online resources will be open to Jilin rice. At the same time, will open Hemashengxian, Sanjiang, Lianhua, Tianmaoxiaodian, Lingshoutong retail convenience store and other offline resources to accelerate the landing of Jilin rice products across the country. In addition, the provincial grain bureau and Alibaba Group will also, around the goal of creating "the country’s first high-quality rice customization demonstration province", jointly create eco-agriculture demonstration zones such as "Sweet Farm" and "Rice Dream Town", speed up the transfer of land, order-based planting, quality traceability and other infrastructure construction, explore new marketing models such as online ordering and private customization, continue to optimize the product structure of Jilin rice, form a high-quality and competitive-price circulation mechanism, and promote farmers to increase income and enterprises to increase efficiency.


The relevant person in charge of Alibaba said Jilin Province’s excellent natural resources give birth to high-quality Jilin rice. The two sides reached a strategic cooperation and Alibaba will consolidate its resources to build a channel for high-quality Jilin rice, rapidly increase the market share of Jilin rice and further promote the visibility of Jilin rice.


Currently, the first batch of 22 Jilin rice companies’ 66 medium- and high-end rice products are sold at Jilin rice Tmall official flagship store and the lowest selling price is RMB 12 a kg. The flagship store operations center, located in Jilin rice network, has producing area warehouses in Yanbian, Shulan and other places, with uniform standards, unified stocking, unified packaging, unified delivery and unified settlement.


The provincial Party committee and government have always attached great importance to the Jilin rice brand construction. The provincial finance has allocated a total of more than RMB 140 million special funds for four consecutive years. With the continuous promotion of Jilin rice "five one project", Jilin rice’s brand awareness, reputation and influence have been rapidly increasing. Jilin rice’s cooperation with global leading e-commerce enterprise Alibaba this year is a powerful combination of resource advantages and channel advantages, not only meets the needs of Jilin rice brand building, but also is in line with the strategic needs of Alibaba in deploying the agricultural sector, is a useful exploration of catering to consumer upgrading and meeting the people's needs for a better life and is of great significance for accelerating the grain supply side structural reform.
