On August 17, Provincial Party Secretary Bayanqolu and Provincial Deputy Party Secretary and Governor Jing Junhai met with the delegation of foreign diplomatic envoys to China, who came to participate in the “2018 Jilin Province Global Promotion – Foreign Envoys to Jilin”, in Changchun.

 

On behalf of the provincial Party committee and the provincial government, Bayanqolu welcomed the arrival of the envoys and thanked them for their role as a bridge in promoting exchanges and cooperation between Jilin and the world. After a brief introduction to the situation in Jilin Province, Bayanqolu said Jilin Province has always attached great importance to friendly exchanges and cooperation with other countries. In recent years, friendly exchanges with various parties have continued to strengthen and relations have been increasingly close. He hoped all the foreign envoys will continue to maintain their interest in Jilin and continue, deepen and inherit the friendship through this activity. With the implementation of the country’s “Belt and Road” construction and the promotion and implementation of the Changchun-Jilin-Tumen development and opening up strategy, Jilin’s advantages in the revitalization of old industrial bases, the country's important commodity grain base, nearing the border and the sea, ecological resources and science, education and culture are being fully released. Currently, Jilin is in a critical period of transformation and upgrading and expanding opening up. He hoped the diplomatic envoys in China will continue to play a role as a bridge to promote the establishment of a broader and stronger friendly relationship between Jilin and the local governments of the countries concerned. We will rely on the "Belt and Road" construction and the Northeast revitalization strategy and welcome friends from all over the world to come to Jilin to negotiate practical cooperation and plan for development with a more open mind, more attractive policies, and a more friendly business environment.

 

Serbian Ambassador to China Milan Bachevic, on behalf of the diplomatic envoys in China, thanked the provincial Party committee and the provincial government of Jilin, for their warm reception. He hoped to further deepen exchanges and strengthen cooperation with Jilin under the framework of the “Belt and Road”, especially carry out higher-level and more abundant exchanges and cooperation in science and education, promote economic development, and achieve mutual benefit and win-win results.
